Be Committed

Matthew 10:38 "And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.

Mark 8:34 And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
Luke
9:23 And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

This Question was asked by a Yahoo member recently.
Is it right for Christian music
to change with the times, for
instance to be expressed in
different genres?
Replied to Asker by another Yahoo member:

If a musician feels like expressing their faith using a particular genre, then why not?

Do the lyrics of a praise and worship song lose meaning because you switch
the music to Rock, R&B, or Hip-Hop?

No.

For example, take really soft, pleasant choral music and put really horrible
evil lyrics to it. Having a piano instead of a turntable doesn't change things.

It would be like telling a Christian visual artist that they can paint something
inspired by the bible, but not use photography or Adobe Photoshop. Or you can
paint something, but you can't make sculptures.

Why limit ourselves unnecessarily?
